Love-Hate Relationship: Which characters from a book do you love to hate?

The Malfoys – I know, I know. . .big shocker I choose someone from Harry Potter or better yet a family.  But come on, don’t you want to punch them in the throat sometimes?  Draco is overall the most annoying.  That little son of a biscuit thinks he is just entitled to everything  UGH.  Then you have his dad Lucius.  How vindicated did you feel when Dobby was freed??  WHOOT!  That leaves Narcissa. She isn’t quite as horrible as the males of the family and she does help Harry in the end (Dixie’s note:  she did it for selfish reasons)but that doesn’t change enough for me to like her.  The more I think about it I do hate the Dursleys too. . . maybe I love to hate too many characters??? ~maggie

It’s hard to decide who I hate more in my favorite book, Caroline Bingley (exquisitely portrayed by Duckface in the BBC version) or Lady Catherine de Bourgh (played by Dame Judi Dench, the best thing about the Kiera Knightly version, in my opinion)…Both are wretchedly annoying and haughty.  They both deserve a kick in the face.  ~dixie

I really debated the Malfoys – either in part or in whole! I can’t stand them, and for different reasons individually.

You know the biggest thing that bothers me about them? Bellatrix calling Narcissa “Cissy” UGH. ~ M
