Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan—the authors of Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist bring us a story about a girl and boy in New York City getting to know each other through a red journal.  It was very funny and sweet.  I loved Dash so much, I had a thought that I wished that my boys would grow up to be like him.  3.5/5 ~d

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by JK Rowling—my favorite book in the series. It really says a lot about this series that, even though I’ve read this book at least three times before and have seen the movie countless more times, I still got choked up at the end.   And I found this video on Pinterest, so watch it.  I did about 5 times. It made me tear up, too. 5/5 ~d  War

The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson–reading this book, I started to get upset because Maggie already reviewed it!  It was soooo good!  Loved every character, loved the setting, loved the plot, loved the paranormal activity…fantastic book, can’t say enough about it.  5/5 ~d

No Turning Back by Tiffany A. Snow — Kathleen Turner (no, not that one) gets caught up in a mystery when her neighbor and friend is murdered.  I really liked this book.  The mystery was good, regarding computers and election fraud, but the romance was great.  Of course, there’s a love triangle, sorta, and it’s part of a series that will continue April 24th. E-book.  3.75/5 ~d

Bloodrose by Andrea Cremer –  Book three in the Nightshade trilogy and I do have to say my least favorite.  I don’t want to ruin it for anyone so I won’t say much, but to me there were a few things that were not necessary to the story that made me hate Calla. 2.75/5 ~m

A Beautiful Evil by Kelly Keaton – Book two in Gods and Monsters series.  Story continues where book one left off, in my beautiful home Louisiana.  Story wise I liked this one much more than the first.  I felt everything flowed well but it would be nice if Ari could catch a break.  3.5/5 ~m

Several on here that I think I’d like to check out. Although I’ve read Harry Potter like a billion times. Or maybe 4. Doesn’t stop me from tearing up at the end of it either! 🙂
