tttTop 10 Books I’m Most Looking Forward to in 2014

It seems like we’re always waiting for a book to come out, sometimes with great anticipation and counting down the days, sometimes just out of curiosity about a new author or an intriguing concept.  Whatever the case may be, our TBR list is neverending.  These are the top 10 books we’re most looking forward to in 2014.

1.  Cress by Marissa Meyer. Duh. So excited to get my hands on this book.  I was one of the last to read Cinder and I’ve been kicking myself ever since. 🙂 I will be getting this before it’s released, before the end of the year, actually, thanks to Kristina, but it’s been highly anticipated since I read Scarlet. Read this series, if you haven’t.  You won’t be disappointed.  February 4

2. Magnolia by Kristi Cook.  Takes place in Mississippi…so it’s got that going for it.  I’m a sucker for a good southern book.  August 5

3. Landline by Rainbow Rowell. What can I say, she’s a go-to author.  Kristina and I love her and have since Kristina discovered Attachments almost two years ago.  I am looking forward to more sweet romance and a great story, which is what we’ve all come to expect from her. July 8

4.  The Fine Art of Pretending by Rachel Harris.  I’ve read this author’s adult books, but haven’t yet delved into her YA. This book, which takes place at what I think could be a prep school, looks really great.  September 2014

5.  The Road Trip by Beth Harbison.  I know nothing about this book because there’s no discription on Goodreads, but I’ve binge read this author’s books after reading Chose the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger this summer, and each one I read is better than the last.  July 1

6.  The Shadow Cabinet by Maureen Johnson.  This BOOK, man.  I have to know where she is going with it.  The last book, The Madness Underneath, really kind of broke me and I hope she finds a way to put all my pieces together again.  No release date yet

7.  Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor. Ugh, this should probably go higher on the list because I’m SOOOO ready for this to come out.  I have to know how it’s all gonna end and if it will work out between Karou and Akiva (or if someone else gets in the way *wink*).  April 8

8.  Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson.  I have read and LOVED both of her previous books (especially Second Chance Summer), so this ranks high for me. May 6

9. The Day He Kissed Her by Juliana Stone. OMG. I am currently reading (almost finished with) The Christmas He Loved Her, which is part of her Bad Boys of Crystal Lake series and it’s soooo good. Mac has intrigued me since the first book and our heroine, Lily, was quite a standout since we’ve met her in Christmas.  I’m so anxious to get my hand on it.  April 1

10. Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill.  Every book I’ve read by her is just so sweet and cute, I’m looking forward to diving into this story about girls, both named Sloane Jacobs, who switch lives for the summer. Eek!  Sounds cute, right? It’s on my bookshelf right now and it’s calling to me. January 7

5.  The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman  February 11

Such Sweet Sorrow

6.  Such Sweet Sorrow by Jenny Trout  February 4

7.  Red Rising by Pierce Brown  January 28

I’ve read Rachel Harris’ My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century and it’s a fun book!

Cress, Magnolia, Landline, Being Sloane Jacobs, Since You’ve Been Gone, The Museum of Tangible Things and Dorothy Must Die are so on my to-read list as well.

    Yay for 2014 books! =D

So many good ones on your lists, ladies!!!
I haven’t read Cinder yet!! I think I’ll wait for Cress to come out and then pound through all on a binge read! I have never read a Rainbow Rowell or Morgan Matson book!! Am I a loser, or what?! I have E&P. Which would be a good first Morgan Matson book??
Heck yeah Ruin & Rising— can’t wait to see how that story plays out!

oh, gee! Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour was cute & fun, but Second Chance Summer will rip your heart out, so take from that what you will & decide 🙂 Eleanor & Park is actually my favorite book this year, so GET ON IT. And Cinder…soooo good. But there is one more book after Cress, which comes out in 2015, so if you’re gonna wait, I’d wait until then.

I read Fangirl (my first Rowell book) this year and absolutely loved it so basically I will read anything by her now. I have E&P on my Kindle and I’m sure I will buy Attachments soon. Oh and I just got Shadow and Bone so I’m sure I will be salivating over Ruin and Rising soon… Great list ladies! So many awesome books!
